Castlevania Requiem Won't Feature Original Voices For Symphony Of The Night Or Rondo Of Blood

Castlevania Requiem bundles two of the series' most beloved games, but it won't include the original voice acting or dialogue for either. Black Mirror's Return Teased In Deleted Netflix Tweet

01:33
The fourth season of Black Mirror arrived on Netflix nearly a year ago, and while we know that Charlie Brooker's acclaimed sci-fi satire is set to return at some point, it hasn't been clear when this would be. However, a now-deleted tweet from the streaming giant suggests we might be getting some more Black Mirror before the end of the year. As reported by Forbes, Netflix tweeted a list of shows and movies that are set to debut on the service throughout December. While most of these have already been announced, there was one title that had not--Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, which is seemingly scheduled for December 28. The tweet was rapidly deleted, but not before it was screen-captured.

All The HTC Vive Announcements From CES 2019

01:46
CES 2019 is underway, giving us a glimpse at some of the new tech products that are on the way in the coming year and beyond. HTC was the latest company to host its CES press conference, and it made a number of big announcements during the event, from revealing a new Viveport subscription model that offers unlimited access to VR games to unveiling its next VR headset, the Vive Cosmos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: CES 2019 is in full swing, and HTC announced some new hardware and software coming to the virtual reality space in the future. First, let's talk about those new headsets. HTC first announced the Vive Pro Eye, and as the name implies, it uses native eye-tracking for easier accessibility and menu navigation. This means no need for controllers. The Pro Eye is geared more toward the business world than gaming, and we don't know about any release date or pricing details at this time. HTC closed out its press conference by announcing the Vive Cosmos. This headset is meant to address some of the current flaws with VR gaming, and while we don't have any real details, HTC says the goal of the Cosmos is easy setup and comfort while in use. We don't know the price or release date for this either, but the trailer say it's, quote, "coming soon." Let's move to software. HTC announced Viveport Infinity, a subscription service that gives you unlimited access to all VR games in the Viveport catalogue. We don't know how much the service will cost month to month, but it will launch on Vive Day, April 5th. Finally, there's the Vive Reality System, which is not unlike Playstation Home. The social space will allow players to gather together, watch videos, and play games. Stop me if you've heard this before, but no concrete launch details were given. That wraps it up for HTC's CES 2019 press conference, but be sure to stay tuned to GameSpot and our sister site CNET for all the latest from the tech show. I'm Tony, and this has been your virtual reality GameSpot News Update.

Batman And Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Team Up For New Animated Movie

00:46
Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might not seem like the most obvious of comic book team-ups, but they do have their similarities. Both fight crime at night in a big city, are known to inflict considerable pain on their enemies, and have animal-based superhero names (of course, the Turtles ARE actually turtles). Fans can now enjoy their first onscreen team-up in the new animated movie Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As reported by Syfy.com, the film is a collaboration between DC Entertainment and Nickelodeon. It's based on the 2015 Batman/Turtles crossover comic by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, and will see the heroes meet up via a "transdimensional encounter," and end up fighting various villains from Batman's rogues gallery.

Fortnite Has A Mysterious Orb, A Bunker, And Eggs

01:10
Fortnite update 7.20 is live now across PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. Beyond new weapons and limited-time mode, there are also some strange items that may be hinting toward Season 8. These include a floating orb above Polar Peak, a group of eggs beneath the castle, and a bunker near Happy Hamlet that was once blocked by an iceberg. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Fortnite update 7.20 has rolled out, but there's more than just new weapons and a limited time mode to check out. There's a giant icy sphere floating above the castle at Polar Peak, and it's likely linked to the game's impending Season 8. That's above the castle, but below it is some weird stuff too. You can find some strange eggs in the prison down there. Much like the orb, we have no idea what they're here for, but they might be connected. Last but not least, the iceberg near Happy Hamlet had its own health bar, and upon its destruction, players found a bunker underneath. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but we don't know what the bunker's here for either. Hopefully these questions are answered when Fortnite Season 8 kicks off. In the meantime, you can follow along with the story on GameSpot, where we also give you the weekly patch notes and challenge guides. Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Gets Free Gift And Price Fixes

01:10
The launch of Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, quickly resulted in complaints about how the in-game economy works. Rockstar was quick to acknowledge that feedback and it's now outlined the first wave of changes it's implementing--including a free gift of money and gold bars for players. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Red Dead Online launched with a bit of a skewed economy, where the value of some items when compared to others didn't make much sense--I'm looking at you, baked beans. But the service's first update is starting to fix this. This is being handled a few different ways: item values are changing, you'll get more money and gold from activities, and many weapon prices are going down. If you already bought an overpriced weapon, Rockstars says you'll receive a refund for the difference. Those have already started arriving, but may take until December 10th to be deposited. That's not all Rockstar is handing over. As an apology for the rocky start, it's giving 250 in-game dollars and 15 gold bars to anyone who's played Red Dead Online between launch and midnight Pacific on December 6th. Those will roll out from now through the 14th. Meanwhile, Rockstar will of course continue to update Red Dead Online as a whole, so stay tuned to GameSpot to keep up with all the big changes. Fortnite Valentine's Day Event Kicks Off Before Season 8

01:20
Now that Week 10's challenges have arrived on all platforms, Season 7 of Fortnite is finally winding down, although developer Epic Games still has a few more surprises in store for players before Season 8 begins. The studio has announced the Valentine's-themed Share the Love event, which kicks off on February 8 and will encompass new challenges, rewards, and more. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Fortnite Season 8 will start fairly soon, but before that, the battle royale has a Valentine's Day event called Share the Love--and it's already running right now. Support a Creator or use a Creator Code during the event, and you'll unlock the Cuddle Hearts wrap. That'll be added to the game with next week's 7.40 update. That update will also bring new Overtime challenges, a wrap, and a contrail, and Battle Pass holders can unlock new versions of the Trog, Powder, and Onesie skins. As for Season 8, we don't know just when that'll begin, but Season 7 ends on Thursday, February 28th. That doesn't mean the next season will kick off immediately, but it does give us a general idea. Before Season 7 wraps, Epic is holding two double XP weekends: February 15th-17th and February 22nd-24th. So you still have good opportunities to finish your Battle Pass. Why PlayStation Is Skipping E3 2019

01:24
Sony's decision to forgo E3 2019 caused waves, and the statement regarding its rationale revolved mostly around finding "inventive opportunities to engage the community" and plans to "think differently and experiment." SIE Worldwide Studios head Shawn Layden has now explained further--touching not only on what they plan to do differently in the future, but why E3 was no longer as useful. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Sony confirmed in November of last year that it wouldn't be attending E3 2019. At that time, the company said it was looking for, quote, "inventive opportunities to engage the community." Now, PlayStation boss Shawn Layden has elaborated on that statement. In short, he says that while the industry has changed, E3 itself really hasn't. For retailers, June is simply too late in the year to make purchasing decisions for the holiday season. For journalists, there is gaming news 24/7 now, so the impact of one major show each year is lost. Additionally, Sony plans to create fewer, but bigger games. This also meant that June was not the best time to reveal its plans for the year. For this same reason, Sony also stated last year that it wouldn't hold its annual PSX event in 2018. Layden said the company simply wouldn't have had enough to show off. But E3 itself is still happening, and Sony will almost certainly hold some sort of special event when it does talk about its future game and console plans, so to keep up with all the big news, stay tuned to GameSpot. I'm Tony, and this has been your bygone GameSpot News Update.

Yes, it even surpassed the Nintendo Wii for those five days. Nintendo also noted that Adobe Analytics showed that the Switch was among the most purchased items online on Thanksgiving day and the best seller for video games during the full Black Friday to Cyber Monday period. In total, Nintendo sold $250 million worth of products during the holiday, according to its internal sales figures. That includes everything from accessories and games to hardware for the Switch, 3DS, and NES and SNES Classic Systems. As for games, Nintendo announced the Pokemon Let's Go games combined to reach 1.5 million units, while Super Mario Party became the fast-selling game in the series by reaching the 1 million mark as well. Of course, it's important to remember these figures are for the US only. In addition to that, some stores may have stayed open for longer than previous years to give customers more time to shop.
