1 The Shadow Search

This workshop is designed to take participants through an
investigation of the shadow in theatre. We will begin with exploring
the basic elements of light, dark, space, the body and the screen
and move further into shadow territory to incorporate cinematic
techniques into the shadow search.
Participants must bring their own torch and wear comfortable
clothes.

10 Advanced Manipulation - Fixed Point

This workshop is for adults with some previous experience with puppetry
manipulation. It explores the notion and necessity of the Fixed Point in puppetry.
Understanding and using Fixed Point contributes to giving the illusion of life to a
puppet. This workshop is a progression of exercises focusing on this basic and
essential technique in application to an object in movement.

21 Performance - Making it happen from scratch

Making plays using puppetry can happen in a variety of ways. This workshop
explores creating performance from form and materials, brainstorming ideas,
improvisation with objects, instant story telling and getting physical. We will
explore a number of creative development styles in a very short time and make a
play. Participants will need to get involved.
