DIY Felt Circle Cape

01:52
Here's what you'll need! EASY CIRCLE CAPE SUPPLIES Thick fabric (Fleece or felt are great) Scissors Fabric glue Needle Thread Button Sewing machine (optional) INSTRUCTIONS Measure the length of your arm. (neck to knuckles) Cut a string to that length, and tie on a piece of chalk. With a large piece of doubled up fabric, draw a half circle using the string and chalk. Cut out the half circle, and set aside the scraps to use for the collar. Fold the half circle into a quarter circle, and use the string again on the other end to cut a 5-inch hole for your head in the top. Unfold the half circle, and either glue the ends together with fabric glue, or sew with a sewing machine. Cut out the shape of collar you want for your cape. Sew or glue the edges together, leaving a small gap to inside out the fabric once dry. Stitch the collar into place on the top. Attach a button or decorative clasp to the collar. Cut and stitch a button hole to the other side of the collar. Enjoy your stylish new cape! Made by BFMP www.buzzfeed.com/videoteam

Best Fabric Glue For Felt & Clothing DIY Projects as an Washable Permanent Adhesive Attachment

01:09
There are many different fabric glue brands and types on the market for DIY projects. Beacon felt glue adhesive works great on all types of fabric, not only felt (http://amzn.to/28UN0ad - Quick Link to the Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue [4-Ounce] in the video). [The link above is an “affiliate link.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission. The bottle says that it bonds glitter, pom poms and of course, felt. It's non-toxic and dries clear. Easy water clean-up is another feature of this adhesive. [Project in which this glue was used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I63WOM...] Link to the Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue (4-Ounce) in the video: http://amzn.to/1p5Yqhj [The link above is an “affiliate link.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”] The bottle is a 4 oz.container which was enough for the stocking project it was bought for. This was a personalized Christmas stocking with 3 letters. This fabric glue bonded really well. It would've been nice if it was sold in a smaller bottle for smaller DIY projects. But, since the glue is useful, it's good to have around. These can be found over at the local fabric store like Joann's or Michael's. The glue bottle comes with directions and helpful hints for proper use. If you need a great multi-purpose fabric glue, check out this one by Beacon. DEALING WITH STRESS - NU:DAILY VLOGS 30TH APRIL

DEALING WITH STRESS Nick Jeffries Founder of nu:projects London www.nuprojects.co [email protected] Couture Construction nu:projects was founded by Nick Jeffries have successfully fused together our British love of fashion and the Englishman’s home being his castle, they have set Kensington and Chelsea alight with their expertise in design and construction. With high profile clients such as Kylie Minogue who quote nu:projects as her ‘Gucci builders’ , projects designed by nu:projects have fast became synonymous with bespoke, seamlessly finished, exclusively designed and highly sought after. London, capital city of the UK is among the oldest of the new world’s great cities with a history spanning nearly two millennia— it is truly one of the most cosmopolitan. London, by far, is Britain’s largest metropolis, and is also the country’s economic, transportation, and cultural centre. With that said, when it comes to Property Development, London has been viewed as quite linear, traditionally designed and often worlds apart from the laws that govern high fashion. However, nu:projects have changed the property landscape, described as becoming the backbone of Luxury Builders In London, in their own way they have brought their own sense of ‘couture construction’ to the heart of this city, much to the joy of London’s elite. From decadent refurbishments that bring visions to life to basements that create beautiful extra living spaces, adding substantial value. Follow Me Online Here: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mrnickjeffries Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nickjeffries Twitter: https://twitter.com/nickjeffries70 Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nuprojects/ Website: https://www.nuprojects.co/ nu:projects do it all, and they do it efficiently, effortlessly and most importantly….with style. As quoted in The Telegraph, successful British male model, David Gandy’s ‘house was not in great shape when he bought it. It had spiral carpets, floral wallpaper, a lavatory tacked on to the kitchen and few original features worth keeping. This meant he felt he had carte blanche to give it a complete overhaul, which he did with the help of nu:projects. They dug eight feet down into the basement to make space for a bedroom and a utility room, as well as a large snug, which extends a few feet beyond the back of the house and is partially lit by a narrow skylight running its width.’ nu:projects could be seen as true mavericks of the construction world, as quoted by Bloomberg ‘The West London boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea have outlawed so called mega basements, banning the residential digs in some of the most expensive parts of the city. The controversial technique saw some property owners excavate three stories underground, adding millions to the value of their homes and driving some neighbours to protest.’ However, with an impeccable track record and smooth project delivery, Nick is set to be building the very last Kensington super-basement. The bottom line is, for those of us wanting more when it comes to construction in London, for those in search of the je ne sais quoi of property re-design, nu:projects simply must be our first port of call. Bringing out-of-the-box construction excellence, and a team of dedicated, talented experts committed to excellence, it’s time for us to shake off traditions of old and get courageous with our homes. How old are you? I am now 19 years old 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? No. I took Studio Arts in senior high school. It's not from that class that I learned evreything I know. I did learn new things from the class, but not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I went to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialise in art. 3. How long have you been drawing? I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14. 4. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates? I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on YouTube and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. How I learned to draw my models is using the 9-Head technique. 5. Where do you get your inspiration? I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like. 6. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced. Queen Maxima has always been a truly inspiration for my couture designs, so I really felt honoured when Fashion Week asked me to design a dress for this amazing woman and style icon. This dress was shown at Fashion Week. In addition, I dedicated three couture designs on the Dutch Queen. Please watch more about Queen Maxima as my inspiration and take a look at the couture designs made by Sepehr Maghsoudi.

NICK JEFFRIES - DAILY VLOGS - MARCH 26th

03:27
Couture Construction nu:projects was founded by Nick Jeffries have successfully fused together our British love of fashion and the Englishman’s home being his castle, they have set Kensington and Chelsea alight with their expertise in design and construction. PHILIPPE PERISSE Spring Summer 2018 Montecarlo MCFW - Fashion Channel

03:25
PHILIPPE PERISSE Spring Summer 2018 Montecarlo MCFW - Fashion Channel Philippe Périssé loves women. He likes them strong, sassy, audacious, and naturally charismatic. The kind of women one never forgets, with that typically Parisian allure, masculine chic, and feminine charm. Women who have a je ne sais quoi, a certain free spirit, sophistication and playfulness. Those who subtly play with their sensuality. No wonder that this collector of military uniforms with a passion for Mucha and 1940's American illustrators attended the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris. After graduating, he worked at Scherrer Haute Couture and Galliano. He then sharpened his vision by focusing on young designers. After studying luxury brand management and development at the IFM (the French Institute of Fashion), he became a design director at Catherine André. He then joined the luxury Products division of L'Oréal, where he developed Lancôme and Armani's make-up lines. Then he felt the need to go back to designing. Driven by the motto "to reveal women's innate beauty and aura", he moonlighted as a designer of one-of-a-kind pieces for private clients. Then he took the big plunge by launching his eponymous brand. His structured silhouettes - strong shoulders and cinched waists - quickly became Philippe Périssé's signature. The brand's narrative prints tell the story of the sassy " Beau" giving the brand a deliciously naughty edge. Beau is the brand's emblem. A hybrid of a bull terrier and an eagle, this surprising chimera is, in a way, the alter ego of Philippe Périssé and the brand's first ambassador. A symbol of playful yet poetic hedonism, he acts as a friend and protector to our clients. And he has a clear motto : Age Quod Agis ("Do what you do, and do good" ... especially the jokes!). Philippe Périssé strictly applies this rule. A true tailor, he crafts impeccable daywear and eveningwear, but also custom-made, one-of-a-kind pieces. His debut collection was presented in September 2014. This prequel of a collection set the tone for his brand, signalling its ambition to enhance the beauty of women. Silk and wool crepe, satin, cotton voile and poplin, subtly mix and complement each other on perfectly cut and designed pieces. How to Sew for Beginner | Easy 5 Basic Hand Stitches | I Wear A Bow

10:57
In this video, let's learn how to do basic hand stitches that is easy yet important to know before you jump into sewing DIY projects! Learn how to do blanket stitch, whip stitch, running stitch, back stitch, and ladder stitch! http://iwearabow.com/5-basic-hand-stitches-video-tutorial/ Did you like to avoid sewing DIY projects just because you don't know how to do hand stitches? Well, don't fret! Basic hand stitches is actually really easy to be learned! I bet you can do it and even master this 5 basic stitches that I will share! Then you can make tons of kawaii DIY that requires to do some sewing with basic hand stitches! Moreover, you can use this hand stitches as alternative for sewing machine! Cool, right? So don't hesitate and waiting any longer to do those sewing DIY projects! Learn this 5 basic hand stitches now, and make those goodies! The first one, I will share how I prepare the needle and thread for hand stitches. You can use single thread or double thread, depending on how thick your fabric is. The thicker the fabric, the more you need thicker thread. I use double thread here so you can see the hand stitches more clearly. The first hand stitches that we'll learn is blanket stitch. Blanket stitch is really well know as decorative hand stitches. Especially for felt DIY projects. Blanket stitch is everywhere! That's why I share it as the first hand stitches to learn. Blanket stitch is easy! After you have mastered blanket stitch, you can make tons of kawaii sewing DIY out there! I also have some DIY that require this hand stitches, and that is blanket stitch! Scroll more to see some projects that I have with blanket stitch. The second hand stitches is whip stitch. Whip stitch is so simple. Whip stitch can be use as decorative or invisible hand stitches as well. Mainly, I use whip stitch for finishing raw edges of fabric when I sew clothing or apparel. Because back then, I didn't have a sewing machine that has zig zag stitch, and I don't have a serger either. So that's why, learning whip stitch is really helped me back then. This hand stitches is helpful! The third hand stitches is running stitch! Yeah! The easiest hand stitch is this! At least for me hehe. Running stitch tend to be used as invisible hand stitches, but not for closing hand stitches. It is one of straight stitches out there. Even though it's easy, it's not the strongest hand stitches out there! But you can still use running stitch to make simple sewing projects, like making simple pillow, plushie, and stuff. The fourth hand stitches is back stitch. This is my favorite of all hand stitches. It's also a straight stitch, same with running stitch. The different is, back stitch is more stronger than running stitch. And this hand stitches can also be the alternative for straight stitch from sewing machine! So if you don't have sewing machine, back stitch can be the perfect alternative! You can sew plushie, or even clothes with hand stitches! But if you don't concern of having stiffness on your fingers hehe. So use this for small stuff sewing projects. But I mostly use this hand stitches if I'm lazy to use my sewing machine. Back stitch all the way~ hehe. The final hand stitches is ladder stitch! This hand stitches is really good for closing and opened stitch. Ladder stitch is an invisible hand stiches! So if you confused when you sew something, then flip it right side out, stuff it, then how to close the opening? Ladder stitch is the answer! This hand stitches is really come in handy for that! If you want a neat invisible hand stitches for closing that opening, use ladder stitch. So that's all the basic hand stitches that I will share. I hope it's helpful to you! How to Sew: The Fell Stitch | Ideal for Hand Sewing Linings into Clothing | Appliqué & More

06:58
This sewing tutorial demonstrates how to sew the fell stitch by hand, which is a stitch used to attach one fabric onto the top of another e.g. for attaching linings or for sewing embellishments like felt shapes/lace/ribbon onto your project. Fell stitches present as short vertical stitches on the side you are sewing on, and long diagonal stitches on the underside. This means that the stitch is unlikely to be used on a single layer of fabric, as the stitches would then be very visible. I hope you find this video helpful :)
