11.4 QR(Quick Response) Code Generation in Java using API

07:50
Click here for Libs : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ydk7rdje190ew2m/AAAja6z6VxPFBSjd9gQWqZF0a?dl=0 QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode) first designed for the automotive industry in Japan. A barcode is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached. A QR code uses four standardized encoding modes (numeric, alphanumeric, byte / binary, and kanji) to efficiently store data; extensions may also be used. Exploiting Java Deserialization Vulnerabilities (RCE) on JSF/Seam Applications with JexBoss

05:41
JexBoss: https://github.com/joaomatosf/jexboss Many Java applications that use the Java Server Faces (JSF) or Seam frameworks often use serialized java objects on the client side to persist the state of the View (e.g. javax.faces.ViewState) or in other form fields. When the client sends these serialized objects back to the server (for example, when submitting data in a POST form), by default they are deserialized without proper sanitization. This allows for deserialization attacks via multiple very frequent inputs (mainly in JSF and Seam applications).

JDK 9, 10, 11 and Beyond: Delivering New Feature in the JDK

01:02:06
JDK 10 was released only six months after JDK 9, demonstrating that the new fast cadence for the OpenJDK works. Even with such a short development cycle, there were still over a hundred new features covering the language, core libraries and the JVM. In this session we'll take a look at how the Java platform is evolving with the introduction of big features like the Java Platform Module System (JPMS) in JDK 9, local variable type inference in JDK 10 and dynamic class file constants in JDK 11. We'll also cover many of the smaller features that will make your life as a developer easier. What might JDK 12, 13 and 14 include? To answer that question, we'll explore some of the longer-term plans for Java, like project Amber, Loom and Valhalla. Speaker: Simon Ritter Deputy CTO, Azul Systems Filmed at SpringOne Platform 2018

Oracle tutorial : sys_refcursor in oracle pl sql oracle tutorial for beginners cursor in pl sql we can use sys_refcursor as OUT parameter. A cursor is a pointer to a result set for a query. By returning a sys_refcursor you allow the client to fetch many rows from the query as it requires. basically we use sys ref cursor to return set of rows to client. so client can use this result set. u can fetch multiple rows. lets see example.. CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE get_my_list (list OUT SYS_REFCURSOR) AS BEGIN OPEN list FOR SELECT ALTID, FNAME, LNAME FROM EMPLOYEE; END get_my_list; / DECLARE l_cursor SYS_REFCURSOR; ID VARCHAR2(20); FNAME VARCHAR2(20); LNAME VARCHAR2(20); BEGIN get_my_list (list = l_cursor); LOOP FETCH l_cursor INTO ID, FNAME, LNAME; EXIT WHEN l_cursor%NOTFOUND; DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(ID || ' | ' || FNAME || ' | ' || LNAME); END LOOP; CLOSE l_cursor; END; / Subscribe on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpiyAesWNYOXSz5GPq8lbkA For more tutorial please visit #techquerypond https://techquerypond.wordpress.com https://twitter.com/techquerypond

PL/SQL:NVL/NVL2/Coalesce function

05:26
In this tutorial, you'll learn the difference between NVL,NVL2 &Coalesce functions PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language) is Oracle Corporation's procedural extension for SQL and the Oracle relational database. PL/SQL is available in Oracle Database (since version 7), TimesTen in-memory database (since version 11.2.1), and IBM DB2 (since version 9.7).[1] Oracle Corporation usually extends PL/SQL functionality with each successive release of the Oracle Database. PL/SQL includes procedural language elements such as conditions and loops. It allows declaration of constants and variables, procedures and functions, types and variables of those types, and triggers. It can handle exceptions (runtime errors). Arrays are supported involving the use of PL/SQL collections. Implementations from version 8 of Oracle Database onwards have included features associated with object-orientation. One can create PL/SQL units such as procedures, functions, packages, types, and triggers, which are stored in the database for reuse by applications that use any of the Oracle Database programmatic interfaces. PL/SQL works analogously to the embedded procedural languages associated with other relational databases. For example, Sybase ASE and Microsoft SQL Server have Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL has PL/pgSQL (which emulates PL/SQL to an extent), and IBM DB2 includes SQL Procedural Language,[2] which conforms to the ISO SQL’s SQL/PSM standard. The designers of PL/SQL modeled its syntax on that of Ada. Both Ada and PL/SQL have Pascal as a common ancestor, and so PL/SQL also resembles Pascal in several aspects. However, the structure of a PL/SQL package does not resemble the basic Object Pascal program structure as implemented by a Borland Delphi or Free Pascal unit. Programmers can define public and private global data-types, constants and static variables in a PL/SQL package.[3] PL/SQL also allows for the definition of classes and instantiating these as objects in PL/SQL code. This resembles usage in object-oriented programming languages like Object Pascal, C++ and Java. PL/SQL refers to a class as an "Abstract Data Type" (ADT) or "User Defined Type" (UDT), and defines it as an Oracle SQL data-type as opposed to a PL/SQL user-defined type, allowing its use in both the Oracle SQL Engine and the Oracle PL/SQL engine. The constructor and methods of an Abstract Data Type are written in PL/SQL. The resulting Abstract Data Type can operate as an object class in PL/SQL. Such objects can also persist as column values in Oracle database tables. PL/SQL is fundamentally distinct from Transact-SQL, despite superficial similarities. Porting code from one to the other usually involves non-trivial work, not only due to the differences in the feature sets of the two languages,[4] but also due to the very significant differences in the way Oracle and SQL Server deal with concurrency and locking. There are software tools available that claim to facilitate porting including Oracle Translation Scratch Editor,[5] CEITON MSSQL/Oracle Compiler [6] and SwisSQL.[7] The StepSqlite product is a PL/SQL compiler for the popular small database SQLite. PL/SQL Program Unit A PL/SQL program unit is one of the following: PL/SQL anonymous block, procedure, function, package specification, package body, trigger, type specification, type body, library. Program units are the PL/SQL source code that is compiled, developed and ultimately executed on the database. The basic unit of a PL/SQL source program is the block, which groups together related declarations and statements. A PL/SQL block is defined by the keywords DECLARE, BEGIN, EXCEPTION, and END. These keywords divide the block into a declarative part, an executable part, and an exception-handling part. The declaration section is optional and may be used to define and initialize constants and variables. If a variable is not initialized then it defaults to NULL value. The optional exception-handling part is used to handle run time errors. Only the executable part is required. A block can have a label. Package Packages are groups of conceptually linked functions, procedures, variables, PL/SQL table and record TYPE statements, constants, cursors etc. The use of packages promotes re-use of code. Packages are composed of the package specification and an optional package body. The specification is the interface to the application; it declares the types, variables, constants, exceptions, cursors, and subprograms available. The body fully defines cursors and subprograms, and so implements the specification. Two advantages of packages are: Modular approach, encapsulation/hiding of business logic, security, performance improvement, re-usability. They support object-oriented programming features like function overloading and encapsulation. Using package variables one can declare session level (scoped) variables, since variables declared in the package specification have a session scope.

Oracle SQL Tutorial 26 - UTF-8 and UTF-16

05:46
UTF-8 and UTF-16 are different encodings for the Unicode character set. Let's discuss UTF-8 first. UTF-8 is what is known as a variable-length character set. This means that the amount of storage a character takes up depends on what character it is. For example, if we store the character A, it will only take up one byte. In fact, ASCII is a subset of UTF-8. That means UTF-8 encoding can work with ASCII data. If you are new to computer storage, a byte is a very small amount of information. The smallest thing a computer can store is a bit. 1 or 0. On or off. There are 8 bits in a byte, 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte, and 1024 gigabytes in a terabyte, and 1024 terabytes in a petabyte. Considering it is completely possible for a database to be multiple petabytes, you can understand that a byte is very small. If you store a non-English character, the size of UTF-8 will increase to 2, 3, or 4 bytes. If you think back to when we used the VARCHAR data type, we passed in 50 CHAR. The reason we throw in that CHAR is that the default for Oracle is 50 characters. Now you can understand why adding the CHAR might be important. If a character can take up multiple bytes, you cannot guarantee 50 characters. Now, on to UTF-16. UTF-16 is also a variable length encoding, but it differs in that It is either 2 or 4 bytes. That means to store an A, it now takes two bytes rather than one. Even though a byte is so small, when you are storing billions of characters, an unnecessary byte really adds up to a lot of wasted storage. We can only represent so many characters with 2 bytes. When we run out of options, we move to four bytes to allow for other characters. Which do we use? It often depends on what platform you are on and also what languages you are working with. For example, if you are working with Asian language, UTF-16 stores each character in 2 bytes while UTF-8 stores each character in 3 bytes. So you could save space by using UTF-16. Additionally, UTF-16 works better when you are writing code in Java or something from Microsoft .NET because UTF-16, or a subset of it called UCS-2, is widely adopted. Other than that, UTF-8 will be the one you want. Now that we have built a pretty good foundation of character sets, we can now continue our discussion of data types. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support me! http://www.patreon.com/calebcurry Subscribe to my newsletter: http://bit.ly/JoinCCNewsletter Donate!: http://bit.ly/DonateCTVM2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Additional Links~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More content: http://CalebCurry.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CalebTheVideoMaker Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CalebTheVideoMaker2 Twitter: http://twitter.com/calebCurry Amazing Web Hosting - http://bit.ly/ccbluehost (The best web hosting for a cheap price!)

Video codec in Java, FFmpeg and C language

08:26
My example application written in Java language uses FFmpeg library package (which is in C language) to open video file. After opening video file it reads the video codec used in this file. Next I return this codec name from C code back to Java code. There are 5 steps to do that. 1. Create Java class with native methods 2. Generate header file with JavaH tool 3. Code your Junit test 4. Code C implementation of generated header file 5. Remember about attaching 3rd party libraries, attaching Java Native Interface header files and setting environment variables. Let’s install FFMpeg libraries package. I configure installation to have generated shared library files (I like DLL files). I compile for 64-bit architecture. I can see compiled DLL files. I copy the files to my separated directory. I open the documentation of FFMpeg library and browse the API. If I want to code C application with FFmpeg library, I need the header files of this library. I create Java application. Write the class with native method. Write Junit. I point where the video file is. There is no C implementation of this native method. I create C application (library). Generate header file for the class with native method. I will include this header file into my C application. I switch architecture into 64-bit. I include Java Native Interface header files and FFmpeg header files too. I also include header file I have just generated with JavaH tool. I go to the Linker properties and point where the libraries are. Now I’m able to code implementation of generated header file in C. I code fake implementation and return simple string. I compiled my DLL library file. Now is the time to set environment variables. I update PATH variable and point where the libraries are. In case you miss the SQL functions intro video you can find the link in the description below. First let's see what these functions are. Upper (): This function takes a parameter converts it into uppercase and returns the new string. Initcap (): this function also takes parameter and converts the initial letter of or parameter into uppercase and returns the new string. Lower (): This function takes a parameter converts it into lowercase and returns the new string. Ok let's do some practical For this practical we will be using 2 tables First is dual table Which is a dummy table provided by oracle? And I have created another table again by the name of example. This will be our second table. Let's start with SQL function upper ( ); SELECT upper('hello world') FROM dual; As you can see I have used "hello world" completely in lowercase as parameter to SQL upper function. Execute it. Here, our result has given us a completely new hello world string which is in uppercase. Similarly you can also use SQL upper function to perform other DML Let's try This time we will work on our second table EXAMPLE; insert into example values (upper('manish')); first parentheses for values and second for SQL function upper. Let's check the result. As you can see here inserted value is in upper case. Lets compare it with simple insert query Insert into example values ('manish'); Execute it, i think now it's clear that when we perform simple insert DML the inserted value will be the same you provide. Similarly let's try SQL function initcap(); SELECT initcap('hello world') FROM dual; As you see here in result the initial letters of string hello world are in uppercase. Let's do the insert query insert into example values (initcap('hello world')); initial letters of string also are in uppercase. Let's try SQL function lower(); This time we have to write our hello world in all caps. SELECT lower('HELLO WORLD') FROM dual; Execute String totally in lower case. Similarly you can user SQL function lower in other DML like insert and all.

Java JDBC Tutorial – Part 10: BLOB - Reading and Writing BLOB with MySQL

Welcome back to another tutorial on Java JDBC. In this video we're going to learn how to read and write BLOBs. For this tutorial we're going to use the employees table. I have a SQL script that will create the table and add sample data for you. You can download it from the link below. The file is sql/table-setup.sql. Time - 00:28 So what exactly is a BLOB? Well a BLOB is basically binary data that we store in the database. You normally use BLOBs to keep track of documents, images, audio, or any other binary object that you have. Note that not all databases have support for BLOBs. In this example we’re going to make use of MySQL and they have BLOB support. Time - 00:48 On this slide we will learn how to create a BLOB column. So when we create a table in MySQL we add a column with the BLOB data type. On this slide I want to learn how to write a BLOB to a database. For this example I'm going to add a resume for an employee. I'm going to read a local PDF file and I'll take that file and update the database with the binary data that's the actual content of PDF file. Let's walk through the code. Time - 01:17 At the beginning I’ll set up a SQL statement. I’ll say update employees set resume equals to question mark where the email address equals [email protected] We’re only going to make a change for this John Doe employee, set up a prepared statement, and then I go, we’re going to create a file that's an actual handle to the local file sample_resume.pdf. Then I’ll set, on my statement I’ll set the binary stream, that first parameter for the resume comma the input. That's the input stream I have for that file. Then I actually call my statement .executeUpdate. That will actually update the database with the binary data. Time - 01:54 All right so let's switch over to Eclipse and let’s look at a very simple demo. I have a program called WriteBlobDemo. In this program we're going to actually read a resume from a local file system and write it as a BLOB to the database. I’ll walk through the code here. The first thing we do is we get a connection to the database. We prepare a statement. We're going to update employees, set resume equals to question mark where email equals [email protected] So we’re going to update the resume for John Doe. Time - 02:22 Then I’ll move down, I’ll set up a file handle for this file sample_resume.pdf. I’ll set up an input stream on that file and then I’ll set that as the parameter for our binary stream for our prepared statement. Then I’ll move through and I’ll actually do an execute update. This will actually store this binary file from the file system into the actual database column. Time - 02:47 I just ran the application and here's the output of the program. So beginning it says that it’s reading the file and gives me the full path to the file just for sanity sake, I know which file is actually reading. Then it tells me that it's storing the resume in the database for our employee [email protected] and then it says that it completed successfully. Excellent. Time - 03:10 Now let's move over to MySQL tool and verify this. I'll take a look at the employees there in the database right now. l’ll run this query select * from employees and I'll get a list of the actual employees. Notice here for John Doe there’s an entry here for a resume, there's a BLOB entry. Note all the other entries are null. So we have a BLOB entry here. I can select this entry. I can right click. I can say, “Open Value in Editor” and it’s going to show me this BLOB. Again, it's a binary large object so we see all this binary data. Actually it should be displayed as hex. Time - 03:50 Instead of looking at it in this fashion there's a tab here called “Image.” I can select this tab and now it'll actually show me this image or the actual data as a PDF that I can view. This is the actual PDF document for this employee, John Doe. This looks really good. We know that we were successful in storing the BLOB in the actual database. Time - 04:18 Now that we know how to write BLOBs in the database let's learn how to read a BLOB from the database. In this example I'm going to read the employee’s resume from the database as a BLOB and then store it as a file on my local files system. Let's walk through the code. [snip] .... see the Transcripts tab for details.
