Edgar Froese - Macula Transfer (Original CD)

35:51
0:00:00 - OS 452 [7.52] 0:07:52 - AF 765 [11.03] 0:18:54 - PA 701 [7.32] 0:26:27 - Quantas 611 [4.58] 0:31:24 - IF 810 [4.25] Edgar Froese's third solo album, Macula Transfer (the title referring to the sun spots), was recorded just before Tangerine Dream's Stratosfear in summer 1976 by Edgar Froese just on his own using an old 4-track Ampex tape machine that Tangerine Dream had bought from Abbey Road Studios. According to Edgar Froese, there were some differences at the time in TD dynamics and Edgar Froese recorded Macula Transfer just for fun. Macula Transfer was released 1976 in Germany only, and furthermore fans had to wait nearly 22 years for the first official CD release of this rare album in 1998. After all other solo albums by Edgar Froese had been re-released by Virgin on CD, the only missing one, Macula Transfer, had now become available by Manikin Records. This Berlin-based label has become well-known due to some releases of material by Klaus Schulze and Ashra. Even if this CD release cannot be considered a bootleg, Edgar Froese took steps to stop distribution of it, as the rights had been sold to Manikin Records without informing him. Edgar Froese's position was that he should have been offered the rights first. They had been kept by a company in Hamburg, which had taken over the back-catalogue of Metronome/Brain. Manikin bought the rights from that company directly, while Edgar Froese already had plans to release Macula Transfer in a new version on his own. Thus, after the first bulk of 1,000 copies was sold, Manikin did not re-release the CD to avoid legal action. So the CD version of Macula Transfer became as rare as the original vinyl release.

Famous poem ~ For The Fallen by Laurence Binyon

03:04
Please click here for video with FULL poem text on screen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ck4sN5sb-hM The "Ode of Remembrance" is an ode taken from Laurence Binyon's poem, "For the Fallen", which was first published in The Times in September 1914. The poet wrote For the Fallen, which has seven stanzas, while sitting on the cliffs between Pentire Point and The Rumps in north Cornwall, UK. A stone plaque was erected at the spot in 2001 to commemorate the fact. The plaque bears the inscription: For the Fallen Composed on these cliffs 1914 There is also a plaque on the beehive monument on the East Cliff above Portreath in central North Cornwall which cites that as the place where Binyon composed the poem. A plaque on a statue dedicated to the fallen in Valleta, Malta is also inscribed with these words. The poem honoured the World War I British war dead of that time, and in particular the British Expeditionary Force, which by then already had high casualty rates on the developing Western Front. The poem was published when the Battle of the Marne was foremost in people's minds. War memorial in ChristChurch Cathedral, Christchurch, NZ Over time, the third and fourth stanzas of the poem (although often just the fourth)[1] were claimed as a tribute to all casualties of war, regardless of state. seehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Fallen Robert Laurence Binyon, CH (10 August 1869 -- 10 March 1943)[2] was an English poet, dramatist and art scholar. His most famous work, For the Fallen, is well known for being used in Remembrance Sunday services. Laurence Binyon was born in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. His parents were Frederick Binyon, a Quaker minister, and Mary Dockray. Mary's father, Robert Benson Dockray, was the main engineer of the London and Birmingham Railway. The family were Quakers.[3] Binyon studied at St Paul's School, London. Then he read Classics (Honour Moderations) at Trinity College, Oxford, where he won the Newdigate Prize for poetry in 1891. Immediately after graduating in 1893, Binyon started working for the Department of Printed Books of the British Museum, writing catalogs for the museum and art monographs for himself. In 1895 his first book, Dutch Etchers of the Seventeenth Century, was published. In that same year, Binyon moved into the Museum's Department of Prints and Drawings, under Campbell Dodgson.[3] In 1909, Binyon became its Assistant Keeper, and in 1913 he was made the Keeper of the new Sub-Department of Oriental Prints and Drawings. Around this time he played a crucial role in the formation of Modernism in London by introducing young Imagist poets such as Ezra Pound, Richard Aldington and H.D. to East Asian visual art and literature.[4][5] Many of Binyon's books produced while at the Museum were influenced by his own sensibilities as a poet, although some are works of plain scholarship - such as his four-volume catalogue of all the Museum's English drawings, and his seminal catalogue of Chinese and Japanese prints. In 1904 he married historian Cicely Margaret Powell, and the couple had three daughters. During those years, Binyon belonged to a circle of artists, as a regular patron of the Wiener Cafe of London. His fellow intellectuals there were Ezra Pound, Sir William Rothenstein, Walter Sickert, Charles Ricketts, Lucien Pissarro and Edmund Dulac seehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_Binyon Ode Of Remembrance (Published Work),Laurence Binyon,World War I (Event),1914,War Poem, war poems,English Literature (Award Discipline)

(Airsoft) Angry Gun Power Up Silencer (MP9 KWA) - KhanSeb

01:11
My facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/pages/French-Airsoft-Dude/207828539287306 (Airsoft) Angry Gun Power Up Silencer (MP9 KWA) - KhanSeb I bought the silencer on eHobbyAsia, for 78 USD : http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/catalog/product/view/id/25398/s/angry-gun-power-up-silencer-for-ksc-mp9-tp9-smg-black/ Lot of people are always asking "what's the point of a silencer on an airsoft gun ???". Well, this product is one of the answer. This silencer hides an inner barrel, which increase the muzzle velocity (and according to angry gun, the accuracy) of the replica. It also comes with a little rail, allowing you to put a little accessory on it. Indeed, it does increase the muzzle veloticy. My naked MP9 KWA is about 350 fps with Abbey Ultra Predator Gas and 0.20 gr bb's. With the silencer on, it's about 400. But the accuracy ? It's hard to tell, I don't see much difference. Actually, I would only say that the accuracy is decreased, because it makes the shots more inconsistent.

Bertali - Ciaconna

06:59
ANTONIO BERTALI (1605-1669) Ciaconna for a treble instrument and basso continuo Performed by Catham Baroque *Live Recording **Antonio Bertali was an Italian composer and violinist of the Baroque era. He was born in Verona and received early music education there. Probably from 1624, he was employed as court musician in Vienna by Emperor Ferdinand II. In 1649 Bertali succeeded Giovanni Valentini as court Kapellmeister. He died in Vienna in 1669. Bertali's compositions are in the manner of other northern Italian composers of the time and include operas, oratorios, a large number of liturgical works, and chamber music. Particularly his operas are notable for establishing the tradition of Italian opera seria in Vienna. Approximately half of his output is now lost; copies survive made by Bertali's contemporary, Pavel Josef Vejvanovský, some of the pieces are currently in possession of Vienna's Hofbibliothek, the library of the Kremsmünster Abbey and the Kroměříž archive. The most important source for Bertali's work is, however, the Viennese Distinta Specificatione catalogue, which lists several composers of the Habsburg court and provides titles and scoring for more than 2000 compositions.

Killary Clinton: An Audio Documentary By Ken Webster Jr

16:52
Over the past year or two we've spent a lot of time making fun of the Clintons on our radio show. From funny sound bytes, to parodies, to satire to street interviews, my catalog of Hillary Clinton related audio has grown substantially in recent days. And as we get closer and closer to 2016 it's becoming more and more obvious that there's definitely a strong chance Hillary will be running on the Democrat ticket. That's why I've decided to release this audio documentary in her honor. Killary Clinton, we're on to you.

Josh Robert Thompson has a Night Cap

01:28:05
Josh Robert Thompson joined me for episode 5 of The Night Cap. Josh is known best for voicing and puppeteering of Geoff Peterson, the dead skeleton robot sidekick on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. However, I'm excited to speak with him because his other projects have shown him to be more than the sum of Geoff's skeleton parts. Josh is an accomplished comedian with viral hits featuring his impeccable celebrity impressions. His acting chops aren't anything to sneeze at -- he's starring in a new film called Nowhere Girl. His improv comedy is on display in the pilot for his sketch show WJRT-TV, and his thought provoking reflections can be found on his podcast Diving Myself Crazy. Fall 2013, during a very rough time in my life, I started listening to Josh's podcast. In one of the episodes, he complimented my blog, which -- thanks to his inspiration -- began to catalog my rise from the depths of a depression and narrate my recent empowerment as a creative person and artist. Josh and his work mean a lot to me and I was so grateful to have him on the show. Find more information about Josh at JRTvoices.com, and you can follow him @JoshRThompson on Twitter. 18. Sites of Memory, Sites of Mourning (Guest Lecture by Jay Winters)

46:29
European Civilization, 1648-1945 (HIST 202) As a result of World War I, Europe had a different understanding of war in the twentieth century than the United States. One of the most important ways in which the First World War was experienced on the continent and in Britain was through commemoration. By means of both mass-media technologies and older memorial forms, sites of memory offered opportunities for personal as well as political reconciliation with the unprecedented consequences of the war. The influence of these sites is still felt today, in a united Europe, as the importance of armies has diminished in favor of social welfare programs. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Beethoven / Jorg Demus, 1961: Six Variations on 'Nel cor piu non mi sento', WoO 70 - Vanguard LP

06:05
Digitized from the LP shown above, issued in 1979 on the Vanguard label, catalogue number VSD 735/6. "Nel cor più non mi sento" (Why feels my heart so dormant) is a soprano aria from act 2 in Giovanni Paisiello's 1788 opera L'amor contrastato, ossia La molinara, usually known as La molinara. This aria was immortalized by Beethoven who composed six variations in G major for piano, WoO 70, in 1795. Other composers who wrote variations based on Paisiello's work include Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Giovanni Bottesini (for double bass), Johann Baptist Wanhal, and notably, Paganini ("Introduction and variations in G major" for violin, Op. 38, MS 44, 1827). Black and white photograph of Princess Margaret ROYAL JEWELLERY TO BE AUCTIONED Some of Princess Margaret's most personal possessions will go on view today before an auction that is expected to raise more than three million pounds ($5.5 million/euros 4.40 million) . Up to 800 items of jewellery and art with list prices ranging from under a hundred pounds to a small fortune will go under the hammer at Christie's auction house next week. But before that, the auction house is putting on a spectacular four day public exhibition of the sale - and opening its doors early to cope with demand. The pieces range from a necklace she wore as a little girl to the tiara she wore at her wedding to Lord Snowdon in 1960, as well as furniture, silver, and works of art. Margaret died in 2002 aged 71 after suffering a stroke. Viscount Linley, her son, has come under fire for selling off the family heirlooms, which include his mother's prized wedding gifts, but he said it was necessary to meet her inheritance tax. The collection featuring almost 200 lots of royal jewels and more than 600 other lots of furniture, china, monogrammed silver boxes and decorative items has been on a world tour shown in Moscow, Hong Kong, Geneva and New York, prior to the sales next Tuesday and Wednesday. The auctioneers expect the jewels to attract the biggest interest and to eclipse pre-sale price estimations. Highlights include the Poltimore Tiara, which Margaret wore at Westminster Abbey for the first televised royal wedding and it expected to fetch up to 200,000 ($370,000/ euros 294,000). She later wore the diamond encrusted piece, made in 1870, as a necklace and individual brooches many times. A necklace of 34 diamonds, totalling about 85 carats, worn by Queen Mary at King George VI's coronation is expected to achieve 300,000. ($550,000/euros 441,000) It is one of many items in the sale given by Queen Mary to her grand-daughter. Others include a sapphire and diamond brooch to mark the princess's confirmation, accompanied by a handwritten note signed "from her loving Grannie." With thanks to Colin Brownlee at http://inquiresandplaces.com for audio conversion - from a very ancient disc! Text: "Quem vidistis, pastores", from Sarum Antiphoner. Translation by Rev. George R. Woodward. Music: "Gloria," old French carol. Published: George Ratcliffe Woodward, The Cowley Carol Book, Second Series (London: A. R. Mowbray & Co., Ltd., ca. 1919), Carol #68. A 1969 performance of this carol is at http://youtu.be/Uqu67UbqOIA) Shepherds in the field abiding, Tell us, when the seraph bright Greeted you with wondrous tiding, What ye saw and heard that night. Gloria in excelsis Deo. We beheld (it is no fable) God incarnate, King of bliss, Swathed and cradled in a stable, And the angel strain was this: Gloria in excelsis Deo. Quiristers on high were singing Jesus and his Virgin birth, Heavenly bells the while a-ringing "Peace, good will to men on earth." Gloria in excelsis Deo. Thanks, good herdmen, true your story, Have with you to Bethlehem; Angels hymn the King of glory, Carol we with you and them. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Please comment, "like", share or embed. The Choir of Westminster Abbey rehearsing

03:03
The Choir of Westminster Abbey and St James' Baroque rehearsing for a performance of J S Bach's Mass in B Minor at Westminster Abbey. Part of the London Festival of Baroque Music 2017. Video courtesy of Classic FM. --- The Choir of Westminster Abbey is renowned worldwide as one of the finest choirs of its type. Comprising some thirty boy choristers (all of whom are pupils the Abbey’s unique Choir School) and twelve professional adult singers (known as Lay Vicars), the Choir plays a central role both in the daily choral services in the Abbey and in the many royal, state and national occasions which take place there. Notable recent events have included services to mark the Centenary of the Battle of the Somme and to celebrate the life and work of Sir Terry Wogan, both of which were broadcast nationally, and the Wedding of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in April 2011, which was seen by a worldwide television audience of over two billion people. In addition to fulfilling its responsibilities in Westminster, the Choir undertakes an extensive programme of broadcasts, recordings, concerts and tours, travelling in recent years to Australia, the Far East, the United States, Russia, Hungary and Spain. In June 2012 the Choir was invited to the Vatican by Pope Benedict to sing with the Sistine Chapel Choir at a Papal Mass in St Peter’s Basilica, and in January 2017 the two choirs renewed their collaboration with a joint concert and Ecumenical Vespers in Rome’s Papal Basilicas of St John Lateran and St Paul Outside the Walls. Closer to home, the Choir gives regular concerts in the Abbey and has appeared at many major festivals including the London Festival of Baroque Music and the BBC Proms. The Choir of Westminster Abbey’s celebrated series of recordings for Hyperion includes the complete Great Service by William Byrd, choral works by Edward Elgar, and the critically acclaimed Mary and Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey, chosen by Gramophone as a Critics’ Choice and hailed as ‘a showcase for English choral singing at its most charismatic’. The latest addition to the catalogue is a disc of twentieth-century English choral music by Finzi, Bax and Ireland. The Choir of Westminster Abbey is directed by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers.

Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation - Jeremy Bankson

This concertato could also be used as a festive anthem for SATB and optional treble choir, since congregational participation is not essential. The tune WESTMINSTER ABBEY is scored for two trumpets, timpani, and organ. There is a short introduction made of melodic material not in the hymn tune (which is also used in between the phrases of stanza two and for interludes between verses). Stanza one begins in unison and finishes in four parts. Stanza two is unison treble (which can be children's choir or just soprano and alto voices). The introduction is heard again with trumpet fanfares as an interlude before the third stanza. Stanza three gives the melody to the first trumpet while the choir creatively harmonizes around it. A final interlude leads into the fourth stanza for unison with descant and trumpet fanfares. Instrumental Parts include: Trumpets I and II in C and B-flat, Timpani https://www.morningstarmusic.com/catalog/product/view/sku/60-7040* Copyright 2018 MorningStar Music Publishers The Singers, Minnesota Choral Artists Matthew Culloton, Artistic Director Copper Street Brass David Trembley, Soundmaster Productions

Oh My Pa-Pa Trumpet Solo By Redsal

02:57
Video and info by Robert Silvestri http://www.youtube.com/user/rasrealtor "O mein Papa" is a German song, as related by a young woman remembering her beloved, once-famous clown father. It was written by Swiss composer Paul Burkhard in 1939 for the musical Der Schwarze Hecht (The Black Pike), reproduced in 1950 as Feuerwerk (Fireworks) to a libretto by Erik Charell, Jürg Amstein, and Robert Gilbert. In 1954, that musical was turned into the film Feuerwerk with Lilli Palmer. Under the original German title, an instrumental version by trumpeter Eddie Calvert topped the UK Singles Chart in 1954, and was also a Top 10 hit in the U.S. It was adapted into English by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons under the title "Oh! My Pa-Pa". A recording by Eddie Fisher with Hugo Winterhalter's orchestra & chorus was made at Webster Hall, New York City, on December 12, 1953. It was released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 20-5552 (in USA) and by EMI on the His Master's Voice label as catalog number B 10614. Fisher's recording became a #1 hit on the U.S. Billboard charts in 1954. Fisher's version also made the UK Top 10; thus, in the UK, Calvert's version was number one while Fisher's made the top 10, but missed the top spot, and in the U.S., the opposite occurred. Calvert's version has a further claim to fame as the first UK number one to be recorded at the most successful of all British recording studios, Abbey Road. The song returned to Abbey Road when Brian Fahey conducted an instrumental version in the summer of 1960 to be used as a backing track for Connie Francis' English-Yiddish recording for her album Connie Francis Sings Jewish Favorites. Francis overdubbed her vocals in Hollywood. In June 1966, Francis overdubbed the same the playback once more, this time with the original German lyrics for her German concept album Melodien, die die Welt erobern.

Moda de Rock Going to California

03:54
Lançamento do DVD no auditório Ibirapuera Ricardo Vignini & Zé Helder In 2007, two "Viola Caipíra" players born in 1973 and members of the band Matuto Moderno, got together to play and adapt classic rock to "viola caipira" (a Brazilian country viola). Ricardo Vignini and Zé Helder's initial idea was to show the potential of the instrument to their students and remember all the fun they had as teens with this music as soundtrack. The release of the CD "Moda de Rock & Viola Extrema" in 2011 became a media and sales success with several shows performed in Brazil and USA. Transforming Pink Floyd's "In The Flesh" into a simple little waltz, Iron Maiden's "Aces High" and Metallica's "Master of Puppets" got some viola's spree. Among these, the CD has tracks from Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Megadeth, Sepultura, Nirvana, Jethro Tull and Ozzy Osborne, all of them performed by only two violas in an acoustic way. The track Aqualung from Jethro Tull, has the participation of Brazilian viola player Renato Caetano and Sepultura's Kaiowas has Edson Fontes, from the bands Os Favoritos da Catira and Matuto Moderno, with his Catira's tap dance, a sound produced by their own hands and feet, in a rhythmic tap dance. The CD was mastered on Abbey Road Studios in London, studio where 90% of Masterpieces from bands such as Beatles, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters and Green Day were recorded. Produced by Ricardo Vignini and released by Folguedo, a label dedicated exclusively to viola's music, "Moda de Rock" is distributed by Tratore. Moda de Rock's first DVD release is scheduled for 2012 with participations of the great guitar player of Brazil, Pepeu Gomes, Kiko Loureiro and Os Favoritos da Catira, the recordings took place in SESC Pinheiros and SESC Pompéia, in São Paulo. For this year is also scheduled the first tour through Europe and USA. Ricardo Vignini -- São Paulo He is one of the viola's players most active in Brazil, researcher of popular culture from southeast Brazil and producer, together with Matuto Moderno recorded four CDs, released in 2010 the CD solo instrumental "Na Zoada do Arame" and participated in one of the main events about viola in Brazil. Owner of the label Folguedo, dedicated to Brazilian country music. Was one of the panelists on the "Primeiro Seminário Nacional de Viola Caipira" -- 2008, in Belo Horizonte. Shared the stage with US artists Bob Brozman in a Brazilian tour in 2003 and Woddy Mann in 2006 and 2008, and in 2006 also played with Christiaan Oyens and the harmonica player Sérgio Duarte. Accompanies the singers Katya Teixeira and Maria Dapaz. Has been teaching viola caipira and electric guitar for 20 years and producing several artists' CDs for 13 years. Produced Índio Cachoeira's three CDs and a DVD. Also played and recorded with: Socorro Lira, Pena Branca, Levi Ramiro, Pereira da Viola, Os Favoritos da Catira, Ivan Vilela, Paulo Simões, Paulo Freire, Roberto Correa, Renato Teixeira, Almir Sater. Zé Helder -- Cachoeira de Minas Zé Helder has two solo albums: "A Montanha" (Pedralva -- 2004) and "No Oco do Bambu" (São Paulo -- 2009), with special participations of Ivan Vilela, Dani Lasalvia, Índio Cachoeira, Guca Domenico. Robert L. de Pearsall (1795-1856) - Great God of Love for 8-part mixed choir

A recording with the Maulbronn Chamber Choir (German: Maulbronner Kammerchor) conducted by Jurgen Budday The Choir was founded in 1983 and counts today as one of the renowned chamber choirs in Europe. Awards like first places at the Baden-Württemberg Choir Competitions in 1989 and 1997, second place at the German Choir Competition in 1990, first prize at the German Choir Competition in 1998, second place at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf 2009 and first place at the Malta Choir Competition show the extraordinary musical calibre of this ensemble. The Chamber Choir has managed to make quite a name for itself on the international scene, too. It was received enthusiastically by audiences and reviewers alike during its debut tour through the USA in 1983, with concerts in New York, Indianapolis and elsewhere. Its concert tours in many European countries, in Israel and Argentina as well as in South Africa and Namibia have also met with a similar response. The choir has performed oratorios by George Frideric Handel each year annually since 1997. All these performances were documented on disc; because of that the Maulbronn Chamber Choir holds a leading position internationally as an interpreter of this genre. Steven Assael: Paintings & Drawings at Forum Gallery

http://www.forumgallery.com/adetail.php?id=207 Steven Assael, the New York artist hailed by The Art Newspaper as "the foremost figurative painter of his generation", will exhibit his latest paintings and drawings at Forum Gallery, New York, from March 19 to May 2, 2009. The exhibition, Assaels seventh since joining the Gallery in 1998, focuses on public and private aspects of urban life and explores issues of intimacy, gender and personal identity. The portraits and narratives the artist paints touch on contact, isolation, sexuality and the journey through life. In the paintings, Steven Assael employs his unique, characteristic sense of light and shadow to illuminate the characters and lives of his subjects. A featured painting, Crowd #1, 2009, oil on canvas, 72" x 96", was exhibited by Forum Gallery at The Armory Show Modern (New York, March 5-9) to preview the forthcoming exhibition. In this major work, Assael leaves specific location and narrative to the viewer. He shows a crowd of infinite number and depth, people to whom we relate but who do not relate to each other, no matter how close the gathering. The drawings are striking in their detail and accuracy, always used in the interest and exploration of intimate moments of introspection. All of the drawings and paintings in the exhibition have been created since 2006. Steven Assaels work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at museums from Chattanooga to Seattle and at galleries throughout the United States. Works have been chosen for curated group exhibitions at the Naples Museum of Art, FL; the Arkansas Art Center, the Evansville Museum, IN; and the Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa, OK; among many. Paintings and drawings can be found in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art & Design, Kansas City; The Columbus Museum, GA; and many other museum and distinguished private collections. An opening reception with the artist will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Forum Gallery, 745 Fifth Avenue at 57th Street, Fifth Floor. The exhibition continues through Saturday, May 2, 2009. A full color catalogue, with essay by Anna F. Burgess, is available, $25.00 ppd.
