Assuming we having a medication table where we need to find the minimum cost and give the alias name as lowest_cost This query works perfect fine select min(cost) lowest_cost from medication Result: LOWEST_COUNT 75.00 This doesn't change the name of the column select cost lowest_cost from medication where cost in (select min(cost) from medication) Result: COST 75.00 Can i Know as to why there is a difference?
