LOL, watching you @ 0:29 forcing that saw blade through that piece of wood....looks like you are trying to cause an accident.

Great tip. Thank you for your response.

I like the door you chose. You can insert pics, calendars, etc. directly under the glass. There is a little space where are indentations are in the door. Its like a shadow box. NICE! I know lots of people have seen this done before but the style of the door you chose is awesome. What does a beveled piece of glass cost if you don't mind me asking. Thanking you in advance, Deedee

Good to know. I will consider it.

This is my desk, and the glass really doesn't slide around at all. The glass shop I purchased it from did give me some clear round spacers that would prevent that sort of thing if it were an issue.

Seems like a really great way to save some money if you happen to find some of the components lying around. I do have a query though... The glass part is most likely pretty important, but... Isn't it better to secure it? I would imagine it wouldn't be fun when it begins to slide around, and you didn't demonstrate how to prevent that. ^^''

Growing up my Dad made me a large desk from a swinging kitchen door. He installed it in a corner with horizontal 2x4s and one end resting on a short cabinet. It was wonderful. Thanks, Dad.
